SYMBOLS – A SIGN OF INDEPENDENCE
Venue: Saken Seifullin Museum, 20 M. Auezov Street, Nur-Sultan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan” was adopted on June 4, 2007. In accordance with this Law, State Symbols Day is celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan every year on June 4.
State symbols are among the integral attributes of any state, embodying its sovereignty and identity. In the Republic of Kazakhstan, the state symbols are the State Flag, the State Emblem, and the State Anthem.
This year, the symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan turn 30. A photo exhibition, “Symbols – A Sign of Independence” (Рәміздер – Тәуелсіздік белгісі), will be held in the museum’s assembly hall.
The photo exhibition features photographs of the state symbols as a vivid image of continuity between the past, present, and future of our state. They proclaim our country’s independence and sovereignty to the whole world, are of special value, convey the spirit, national customs, heroism, and wisdom of our people, our hope for the future and our dreams, and serve as the foundation on which national identity is built.
